As heaven and hell fall
I stand there waiting
On the edge of nothing
Waiting to see the end
But the end will never come
My futile existence will remain
A scar on this once beautiful land
A potent pollution
That kills all the life in this pond
The unseen light gone
Swallowed by dark betrayal
Screaming is all I hear
The voices of those I loved
Of those I ever cared about
I watch them die
I am helpless to stop it
They call out to me to help them
But I cant do anything for them
For I am not a god
