Birds sing
The wind blows
A bang and a scream
Blood covers the ground
All goes black

Eyes open
Sits up with a start
The door opens
And the light hurts the eyes
Then closes soundlessly

Black hair falls across shoulders
Shaking with fright

Sweat drips
Tears stain fair skin
The moonlight silhouettes
A panting form
Glinting off sweat soaked skin

The dream never ends
The haunting never stops
The sounds of screaming
The smell of blood
Never ceases to exist

Green eyes look to the moon
Moistened from the rain

Falls back to the sheets
Curls into a ball
Clutching hands so tight
The red liquid begins to drip
Eyes close hesitantly
